The SK55SRX features a compact tail swing for operation in restricted spaces, such as on urban or residential jobsites, for a smaller working footprint. However, a larger boom and arm are provided as standard equipment for a wide working range.

The iNDr system on the SK55SRX features air intake at the front of the machine and air exhaust underneath. It functions in the same way as the iNDr System on the SR series machines. The stainless-steel filter is extremely effective against dust, with 30-mesh wave-type screen that removes tiny dust particles from the intake air and delivers amazingly quiet operation. The highly airtight engine compartment and the offset duct contribute to noise reduction.

The next generation SK55SRX delivers increased performance and productivity and follow Kobelco’s Performance X Design concept for enhanced design and operator comfort. This model also adopts a square ROPS cab or canopy complete with wide foot space, and added windows for a clear vision of the worksite. The high-strength canopy meets ROPS and FOPS standards for greater operator safety.
