Brisvegas Machinery awards contract for new Darra facility

for drainage

Main Constructions has been awarded the construction contract for Brisvegas Machinery’s new workshop and facility in Darra, Queensland.

The facility is part of Brisvegas Machinery’s forward momentum in the market and plans to further expand their presence in Queensland and Northern New South Wales. This follows the purchase of Chesterfield Australia’s construction division, plans to lease the premises in Richlands for two years before building their own facility and acquiring the Kobelco Excavator franchise.

The new facility, located at 537 Boundary Rd Darra, will involve the construction of a 2500sqm state of the art workshop and office space on the 9000sqm plot.

Brisvegas Machinery’s General Manager, Kane Bennett says that the tender for the facility was competitive but Main Constructions are the right team for the job.

“Main Constructions has been a customer of Brisvegas Machinery’s since we took on the Kobelco Excavator franchise and from our dealings they have really come to understand our business and how we operate,” he said.

“They have a very honest, hands on approach and have delivered on some fantastic projects and we are excited to be joining forces for this project.”

Main Constructions was established in 2008 and specialises in all aspects of commercial, industrial and concrete construction. With a team of fully trained in house staff, and less need for subcontractors – Main Constructions have worked on a range of projects including the Doomsday Destroyer at Movie World, Industrial Building Burnside Road, Southpine Sports Precinct and the North Ocean Shores Sporting Facility

Work will begin on this exciting new development in the next four weeks, with Main Constructions completing all works required for the new Brisvegas Machinery facility in Darra including bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage, construction of new warehouse and carpark, kerbing, asphalt surfacing, electrical fitout, and landscaping.
