Queensland Expansion for BrisVegas Machinery
BrisVegas Machinery, a division of Melbourne Tractors, is expanding its Queensland footprint after purchasing Chesterfield Australia’s construction division, which includes the Kobelco franchise and Richlands facility.
BrisVegas Machinery General Manager, Kane Bennett said the sale allowed BrisVegas Machinery to become a heavy-hitter in the competitive Queensland market.
“This is a once in lifetime opportunity to acquire a construction business with such an outstanding reputation,” Mr Bennett said.
“After recently signing on New Holland Construction in the middle of 2014, this is another great step for our business to be taking on the Kobelco franchise in the Queensland and Northern New South Wales territories.”
BrisVegas Machinery will relocate to Richlands, QLD and now represent Kobelco’s full product line. This will cover a large spare parts facility and a state of the art workshop with mobile service vehicles covering from as far north as Rockhampton down to Lismore, NSW.
Kane Bennett, Melbourne Tractors Operations Manager and originally from Toowoomba, has relocated to Brisbane and accepted the positon of General Manager for Queensland operations. Kane will manage this transition period with Chesterfield Australia and ensure the future success for BrisVegas Machinery and the Kobelco franchise.
The sale of Chesterfields Construction division to BrisVegas Machinery is expected to be finalised by early May.
